I was born in Verona in 1985, I attended a scientific career that ended with a magistral degree in Computer Science. Since I was young, I love nature and expecially animals, from the early days I was walking on hills with parents. Grown up, I started to go in the woods with friends and often alone, to savor the quiet and the silence outside the caotic city.
My passion for photography began in 2010, starting with a simple bridge camera Panasonic Lumix FZ38, then moved to a Nikon reflex and so on…widening equipments. The predilection for wildlife photography immediately appeared, begin fascinated from the world of macro, and not disdaining some landscape or other genders. This kind of photography, for who don’t knows, requires so much commitment and dedication, many awakes before dawn and a lot of hours spent walking for search of new subjects, or waiting inside a hide.
My photos show only free animals in their habitat, no zoos or reserves, so their presence is not insured by anyone; plus, here in Italy, and especially in Veneto, the animals are terrorized by man hunting, so approaching them is even more complex.
At work I deal with computing, I’m a software developer, hence for me the technical and technological aspects in photography have a big importance in every shot and I always try to cure them. I shoot exclusively in RAW and I do post-production using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, although my retouching interventions and correction are always minimal as I try to start with a good basic shooting without having to twist through the use of digital techniques.
As time goes on, I carry out investigations in the territory in a more focused way and aware, and my respect for nature and the knowledge of its small inhabitants are growing, like my technique.
